Ah, gotcha. Doesn't look like the Beta firmware is on their website.
Yeah, it is.  Check this thread for more details.  Links to the last two betas are at the bottom of the first post and are hosted on retrousb.com. ]]>

A lot of it is up to you.

I like the unsaturated v6 color palette,. extra sprites on, and standard 4:3 setting.
Where are the color palette options? I upgraded to the latest firmware over the weekend, but can't seem to find them.

They didn't intend for the games to be on an HDTV, either but yet here we are. I just hate the scanline look in hi def, but that's just me. I think the rules change when you get the games on an HDTV, at least for my tastes.

That being said I find the scanlines options on the AVS pretty weak unfortunately. I can only get one setting (3rd one over) to display even close to even, and still some variable thickness between the lines. It's fine though. Hoping this gets fixed in a future update as it did seem to get a bit better in the latest beta, maybe I'm just seeing things though.

Optimal setting for me is FCEUX palette, 3rd over scanline, standard 4:3 (otherwise scrolling is jerky), extra sprites off depending on game (I find it creates errors in a bunch of games). ]]>

I understand the nostalgia for them, but I have never thought that they look good. ]]>
