Browsing some of the old books and found a Mario Mania Player's Guide just laying on the floor for a dollar.  Never having seen or heard of this before I thumbed through it and it looked pretty interesting.  So I picked it up and carried it through the rest of the entire house.  Absolutely nothing else video game related in the house, I found the only piece.  In alright condition except for a few dog eared pages.  Spent the next hour at home reading about the history of mario up through 1991 and just enjoying it all.  Good find. Did you hear?! They’re making a Super Mario Bros MOVIE. I can’t wait!

Sounds like an enjoyable time.

I think the lady was some sort of old flapper dancer or something because she has lots of sequin outfits and furs, possibly a belly dancer back in her day.  Lots of various wigs and costume jewelries too.  The rest of the house was typical older lady stuff, so I was quite surprised to find the guide.  Possibly had one of her grandkids stayed with her before and left it behind.  It was a nice surprise and now has a nice home where it will be appreciated.

Don't know if you know it or not, but those older furs, outfits, costumes, etc could be worth some serious oney if they're even in halfway decent shape. Some of that stuff is very desirable, and could buy a lot of videogames. ]]>
