can only shoot once a sec give or take depending on the character, that annoying noise is the game telling you your ready to fire again. You also must be pushing a direction to fire. Also, Your score should be1018. Lol whoops. 

I played this game three times. The first time I pressed start thinking it would bring me to some type of final score screen, nope. The second time I didn’t take the picture in time. The third time I tried to lose as quickly as possible but the computer insisted on killing everyone of my fighters. The computer would even move further away from that spot that ends the game to battle. Lol.
