I really dug the museum area in my visits to it as well.  Some great stuff in there. ]]>

- All four are, in fact, different builds.

- The code has been dumped privately by a local person, and I am in sole possession of the code.

- None of the builds are complete

- Audience at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo expressed interest in potentially using these partial builds to create a completed game. I'm in the very beginnings of looking that idea at the present time. ]]>

- There is a "practice mode" that allows you to play seven different stages

- There are numerous types of stages, from a motorcycle stage to a platformer stage to what appears to be some sort of flying vehicle (sorry, I don't know the Akira movie at all).  You battle the final boss by running back and forth and shooting upwards.

- This particular cart is incomplete.  Each stage plays the same background music and defeating the final boss just takes you back to the title screen. There are few sound effects.  The other three carts may or may not be different.

Just a reminder that it has zero to do with the film at all.  Just so happens to have the same name. ]]>

Just a reminder that I'll be at Portland Retro Gaming Expo with all of the equipment necessary to back up your games on-site. I have a permanent table in the museum portion of the show where I'll be archiving things, it should be hard to miss. If we happen to miss each other while I'm on break or in a panel, someone else on the museum staff should be able to help find me. As I know you'll be there with the games, this should be a really good opportunity to knock this out. ]]>

Wouldn't doing it for the community mean dumpimg and releasing them.
I must have missed something.

As I've stated, I'm open to any and all options for preserving this unique find.  As I've also stated, this is uncharted waters for me, so figuring the option that is both best for the items preservation as well as myself is something I'll take my time on figuring out.  I've had five dozen people contact me with options on that, almost all of them offering different suggestions.  I'm in no hurry, partially due to the fact that I don't have ten spare minutes per day, and partially because I'd like to do this right, not quickly.

Are you somehow under the impression that I'm not going to dump them or release them?  If so, please tell me how I might have given you such an impression.
