Well done on breaking my win streak too.

I got burned out of the game after achieving that score so I never gave another try to top it. I should have, though, as I will end my career without a shooter win.  
But alas, I had people to "entertain" during the weekend and wanted to get some SNES gaming going on Sunday.

For Mr. X, I would just rapidly use the low kick.  As long as I didn't have a lot of damage already, it always worked for me.

You are all right, I did have success with low kicks, as well as occasionally with the jump kick.  I suppose I didn't want to rely too much on the low kicking strat and tried to get better at jump kicks, with sporadic success.
