ZDoom (and GZDoom) is regular Doom with modern upgrades like high resolutions and mouselook.

Is this just regular Doom or is there a Doom II version like this?

I thought ZDoom and GZDoom would take WAD files from any version of the game.

Looks like it supports Doom, Doom II, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, Chex Quest .... and a few more maybe too.  Any IWAD files

I'll certainly be trying this out soon.  Thanks for the tip!

Hexen with Zdoom? Fuckin eh! ]]>

I really wanted to like the current one, and I do, but when I play it, it makes me feel nauseous. ]]>

Wow, didn't realize it had support for non-Doom wads, but makes sense I guess.

Very cool.

Consoles aren't where to play Doom   But the 360 port was good. ]]>

I couldn't care less about the n64 but DOOM 64 is my favorite version of doom on a console. ]]>

I'm not sure if that is the same as the PS3 version but prob the best non-PC version. Most other ports cut content or were almost totally different games all together. ]]>
