Hi there,

Thanks for being a backer of Goofy Foot - An Alternative NES Controller. Unfortunately, this project did not reach its funding goal by its deadline. Because funding on Kickstarter is all or nothing, your pledge of $54.00 has been automatically canceled and your card will not be charged.

The fact that you showed your support is still appreciated! If you’d like to follow along with the creator’s next steps, stay tuned to their updates. You can even drop them an encouraging message or comment on their project page.

Thanks again for supporting this project.

EDIT: I noticed in the final 24 hours, two backers accounted for a $4000 increase in funding.

Was this campaign "pumped" by a superbacker in the eleventh hour???   ]]>

EDIT: According to the Kicktraq page, three new backers pledged on the 29th of Decmber, the same day Ferris posted the blog.

EDIT2: I would still be interested in purchasing a replacement PCB sould you decide to produce them, even if the campaign fails to generate the necessary funds. I also want the digital album regardless.   ]]>

HA!  The hall effect sensor is acctually a great idea!  I could use one on the boards I drop into the OG Gamepads, that way you can switch from Classic to Goofy.  But I've got to focus on the project at hand... stop distracting me with great ideas.  Save that for the Goofy Foot Mach II version.

Don't cram in unnecessary tech.
The B/A switch is as fancy as I'm gonna get.  Thank you for your support.  You all rule!

Don't cram in unnecessary tech. Those contactless sensors cost more and aren't that great either. Way too much unnecessary actuation and you can't rest your finger on the button without registering a pulse. Touch screen games that emulate buttons are terrible because the lack of tactile feedback. Phones and tablets are only good for "tap and swipe" style casual gameplay for this very reason.

Also try to get the word out to those big youtube celebs. If someone with 100k+ subscribers mentions this device, it could mean the difference between success and failure. Your campaign appears to be flatlining currently, and I've done all I can to back at one controller...
