Yessir! Not giving that one up, I’m a Genesis guy by heart and I think there were more hex differences in the Genesis than SNES, but I am checking tonight.

I’m not sure why they’d put them on without there being a window.

Same reason you would put a sticker on anything. Identification.

That’s what I did. I THINK there is, and I think I also saw its outline in the light, but this particular sticker makes it tougher than the others for whatever reason. Different texture. Still, whenever I’ve seen something like a sample cart for use only in a kiosk or something like that I have never seen stickers on the EPROM. I’m not sure why they’d put them on without there being a window.

I do believe this is close to final, however. I will run a hex compare later, then turn this into an auction.

I also lost a screw in the process. Anyone got a magnifying glass?

Found it! ]]>

This is a sample more so then a proto? Hard to tell but are they EPROMs or standard chips inside? Most of these types of carts are standard EPROMs with no window. Huh, I always assumed there were windows underneath the stickers, but I will check today to confirm. I’ve had sample carts like this have windows, so it was my assumption.
