I have a question regarding your boxes, the cardboard quality is amazing, where did you get them?
Rizz took care of all of the packaging (boxes, manuals, and labels). Armed for Battle used the same materials (I think anyways), though I don't have the box handy to compare.

Honestly, this is a question for SoleGooseProductions. I honestly don't know.

All I did last year was to design the poster you see in the first post (at way higher resolution, of course), including the silhouette SGP made, and the game main sprite and in-game decoration frame which I designed; then I adapt it to the label sizes using a template on nesdev, and submitted both files as proposals for the release of the game. I was allowed to print few copies of such poster for myself, the producer, another member on NA, and few friends.

However, after the development and testing phase is over, S&R releted games and all related material are SGP domain only, copyright wise, ownership wise, and production wise; hence all production side decisions are not up to me. Actually, I didn't even know before the release that my submitted design for poster and label would be chose for label/manual/box of the NA edition of the game, but I'm glad it was so.

So sorry, I really don't know how to answer to your question, but I'm definitely glad that the material quality is "amazing"!

Thank you for the feedback! ]]>

On the extremely odd case that anyone else actually likes to read people write about making drawings, I typed up a post about the process of making the map which I posted here.

Added the link to the NA edition sale thread in the first post. ]]>

This says it all. The one post of criticism here above in this thread at least has some opinions (right or wrong) based on facts (true some, a bit less true others), and expresses a (really severe) point of view tech wise. And still, being based on a demo only, it means nothing important (while Daria shows the demo in the video but played the whole game too).

I personally won't waste any time contacting anyone about these videos you link.

I doubt anyone playing the last demo would change opinion about the game from watching a couple of extremely short and rather pointless videos of a previous demo.

However, thanks for the links, they show at least that the game is gaining some popularity over the internet. ]]>

Yeah, early dev ROMs were public, and then there was a gap where we pulled them in order to let the game grow to completion before posting a real demo. The goal has been to let people see if they are interested or not all along, though more than one has gotten caught on the battle system (as the fellow in the video demonstrates). Just remember, press a directional button, let go; then press A or B and let go. That will at least allow for a melee attack, and for a person to get started (and past the first boss).

ironically they don't use the runic font. ]]>
