Yeah, that really got me.  Then, in some other video (can't remember if it was his or someone else's) later on, he kind of laughs and totally denies having used superglue...except that you can totally see him attempting to glue it back down in the original video.  I'm guessing he got a lot of complaints/hate over that and backpeddaled as a result, but I'd have liked it more if he'd just owned up to what everybody watching the original video already witnessed.  Everybody makes mistakes, but if you make them in public and everybody sees, you lose face and peoples' faith when you try to say they didn't happen. ]]>

It is possible to do it yourself, but it takes some skill and a careful hand.  Here's a video of Brad Tratzinski fixing the one that got sent off to John Riggs.
Thank you so much for this video! This is just what I needed!

Just a FYI, if you screw up the fix you're probably out of $200. Personally I'd just send it back to RetroUSB, they will get you taken care of.

My system's USB port snapped off back in January and they replaced it. This was before the redesigns were in so I am not sure if they repaired my old system or modified a replacement board. Still, I opened it up upon receiving it back and the old style USB port is there. Two rods were mounted on the board with nuts on them on each side holding down the USB port. That sucker's not coming out now. Seems like a better solution to me than all the work that guy had to do in that video.

Of course if you send it back to them now I figure you will get an updated board. Just a guess anyway. ]]>

I still remember watching that video for the first time and face-palming so hard.
I still wonder why failure videos get uploaded to YouTube at all. It's like he feels any content is good enough content to upload. I suspect it's a revenue thing. ]]>

Eh, maybe conductive epoxy might have worked better?   I still remember watching that video for the first time and face-palming so hard.

My "preorder" AVS had to wait for delayed launch titles and was a blessing in disguise. Port already reinforced with tiny screws by the time I got it. ]]>

I sent them an email about it. Hopefully they can sort things out quickly
