Jeez. Telescopes must be really powerful these days. I don't remember the Jason telescope I had when I was a kid doing much more than making stars look more magnified and seeing the finer details of the moon.

I bolstered my games collection by quite a bit this Christmas. Also got a Kindle Fire HD (which I already hacked so it can use the Google Play store), a Canon PowerShot SX510 HS, which should dramatically increase the quality of my photos, but mainly I was just happy giving gifts to my loved ones, family and friends, and especially my son.
It has several interchangable focus power lenses, and it was a perfect night for it last night, tonight too actually.  It's a Celestron Powerseeker 70AZ, a beginner scope if you want stats on it.

Best of all, my wife and I hosted Christmas at our new place for the first time (on Christmas Eve) and it was a great success. My mom even stomached 25 rounds of Cards Against Humanity in the name of Christmas spirit.
