Is the reason for not selling a high-dollar item to someone with zero feedback because they will try to keep the item and get a refund also? If you ship with a tracking number doesn't eBay pretty much side with the seller automatically?

There are a few different things they could try to pull but commonly they may already have another nonworking one and try to return theirs for a refund. ]]>

I'd let it run, everyone has to start somewhere, worse case scenario is you file a NPB and sell it to the second highest or re-list it.

Depends on the item really. I'll give anyone a chance, whether I'm buying or selling. But I wouldn't spend $100 or sell a $100 item to someone with zero feedback. If the items $25 and there's an issue then it's not such a big deal. Less risk, so use your best judgement.
This.  If it is a low cost or common item just let him bid.

Thanks guys... the item might end above $100 :\ ]]>
