In my opinion you should get one regardless of when (or even whether or not) Pikmin comes out for it, unless all you play is Pikmin. The 3DS has a huge library of awesome titles, I don't think you'll ever hear anybody say the 3DS sucked because the games weren't there. They've really milked every drop out of the super-limited tech in that little machine. If you don't already have an "old-style" 3DS it's a no-brainer in my opinion.
