Not bad. To take it to the next level you're going to need to get more advanced with your creations, more layers, maybe a little effects added to the original sounds (not necessary, though), more complexity. As it is, you have some pretty interesting lines and beats, but there are two complaints I'd have with it. One, they just sound like NES games for the most part. Now, certain people might like that, but for a larger market more depth would be necessary. Two, the tracks tend to sound too similar. After two or three you've basically heard the whole album. You like to play with that fluttering electronic sound too much, it makes up the bulk of the background in most of the tracks. Here's an example of something I released on my label for Army of 2600. He uses the original capabilities of the 2600 to a major extent, but has a better feel for layering ussing its limited sound set (not trying to dump an ad on your thread, just by means of example): http://mindflaremedia.bandcamp.com/track/dr-mindbender-in-the-lab

Just downloaded and will give a listen tomorrow. I would love to buy a CD but I can't find one. I'm still a little old school and like to have the physical cd's with cases.

Thornby, the third album released by Bleep Bop, surpasses conventional pop formula with a seamless blend of approachable melodies which float over idiosyncratic chords. With sharp timing and an even pace, Thornby seeks to capture the tension and elation found only when playing a video game. Thornby was made with the Famitracker and uses only the original NES chipset.

It took a little over a year of inspiration and perspiration to make Thornby. Some of the songs made sense right away, some I had to sit at the piano and work at it until it clicked. At the beginning of the project I was more focused on learning how to use Famitracker, but once I figured out how to create the sound/tone I was looking for, I could leave the technical tinkering behind and focus on the music.

I've sold just a few copies of Fie so I wanted to try something different for the NA community. Thornby will be available for download for the next month. If you like it, please paypal what you think the album is worth. Technically I'd sell each song for a buck, and the album for ten, but you pay what you you feel the album is worth. I'm not looking to go platinum, but to cover the expense of putting the album on cdbaby.

If you buy/donate, please post up, I will send you links to the next album (tentatively titled: e-vill - a strong deviation from the previous two) as well as links to remixed "live" versions of the songs off of Fie.

Download it, listen to it, drive to it at night, play it instead of the looped music from whatever RPG that's driving you nuts, make it the soundtrack to whatever you're doing, but most of all, enjoy it.
