Were there multiple items in your cart? When I used the 2nd code I went this route with a $100 paypal gift card (which was allegedly working for this as long as there was at least $20 worth of "regular" stuff) and an item totalling $28. Coupon was applied and my total was $108. But only the $100 for the gift card was subtracted and the other item is listed as pending. Probably not the same circumstance as you but just bringing it up as the cart purchases didn't seem to go as smoothly as the single order ones. People at slickdeals are reporting the same sort of thing so I'm hopeful it will be resolved.
