My AVS won't update to b8, its stuck on "reprogramming firmware". What do I do now?

Can I power it off and try again?

**EDIT***
Fixed!
It takes a bit of time to flash. I don't think the system can be bricked in event of a failure. Just reflash it and try again. I also do get kinda nostalgic watching the red LED blink on and off during the upgrade process...

Ahhh, the blinking red light, does bring back memories! Nothing like a little nostalgia!

I'm interested in the RetroUSB wireless controllers. I picked up some 8bitDO controllers a few weeks back, and while they are convenient, there is noticeable input lag for timing sensitive things (Battletoads, speedrunning Ninja Gaiden, etc). Super convenient, but I'm also wondering what other options will perform like. All modern commercial solutions will probably use Bluetooth and be subject to similar performance issues, except the rare Messiah controller (I have one but the Dpad is rubbish) and RetroUSB's proprietary RF controller coming out, ETA unknown. Vintage solutions are all IR and require line of site.

Yeah, I was also wondering if there are any nees about the controller. I was thinking about buying a 8bitdo controller, but then decided to wait for the RetroUSB-version. Hope to get some news soon.
The 8bitdo controllers aren't bad if you just have one connected at a time and are in a relatively clean 2.4Ghz environment (ie not an apartment or dorm).

I have three controllers (FC30, NES30, an SFC30) and four recievers, 2x NES, 1x SNES, 1x Classic Mini. My preferred controller for NES use is the FC30 due to the rounded edges being more comfortable. They work fairly well and were good enough that Analogue included them with the NT Mini.

One caveat is they don't like being placed in adjacent ports for multiplayer due to interferance and crosstalk. The workaround is to connect one receiver to a Retrobit style extention cable to separate them so the transmitters aren't literally an inch away from each other. This kinda defeats the purpose of having wireless though when doing multiplayer though when you need a cable to get both receivers to work. ]]>
