As others have said, the question is whether the FDS's RAM adapter would work with the NES cartridge adapter, as it is a complete console, condensed into a single chip and put in a cartridge. So you want to plag an FDS into a Famicom to Super Famicom "Adapter", and plug that into a slightly modded SNES. As I understand it, thos Famicom Adapters are entire consoles that get their power from the Super Fami/SNES. The question is whether or not the FDS would work on that adapter. Ask the manufacturer, or try it out.
What exactly is a "FDS"?

It doesn't cause much of a problem, but on my original SNES after a few years I found the games were flopping around in there back and forward and would lose connection pretty easily due to the lack of support so I'd wedge a piece of paper folded over in there to tighten it which kind of sucked.
