You can review a collection of my findings thus far here-

Unofficial Tommy T's Instructions!

Up/Down  = Moves between the different areas
Start  = Starts Selected Song
Select  = Brings up the Instrument Preset Edit Page
A/B = + / -

Voice 1 = Square 1 Channel
Voice 2 = Square 2 Channel
Voice 3 = Triangle Channel
Voice 4 = Noise Channel

ON
 - 00 = Off (Mute this channel)
 - 01 = On (This channel is heard)

INST = Presets for each channel, like different settings on a keyboard
 - A/B - Change Value

Instrument Preset Editing:

Amplitude  is the size of the vibration, this determines how loud the sound is.
Duty Cycle is the proportion of time during which a component, device, or system is operated.
Sweep is an oscillator switching between two frequencies over a set time
Vibrato is a musical effect used to add expression and vocal-like qualities to instrumental music.

Amplitude (00-15) = controls the volume of this instrument (00-15)
Duty Cycle (00-03) = 00 = 12.5%, 01 = 25%, 02 = 50%, 03 = 75%

Sweep Enable = 00 = off, 01 = on)
Sweep Direction = (00 = Descending, 01 = Ascending)
Sweep Delay (00-07) = Amount of sweep time delay

Vibrato Enable = Turn on/off vibrato effect (00-off / 01-on)
Vibrato Amplitude (00-99) = Intensity of Vibrato effect
Vibrato Frequency (00-99) = The frequency the Vibrato is applied to (pitch)

Envelope Section:
Many synths and electro instruments use an ADSR envelope to modulate some aspect of the instrument's sound, often its loudness, over time.
(A)ttack - How fast the sound reaches full volume after the sound is activated (after a key is pressed)
(D)ecay - How fast the sound drops to the sustain level after the initial peak (A).
(S)ustain - The "constant" volume at which the sound remains following the decay until the note is released.
(R)elease - How fast the sound fades when a note ends (a piano key is released).
*Note: In this sound editor there is no Sustain setting.
This is done so that when you hit a key on a keyboard its not always a constant volume being played back no matter how hard or soft you hit it. By adding this element of pressure sensitivity it gives the instrument a more human feel and rhythmic sound.

note: One or the other (possibly both) needs to be enabled for effects to be heard
Hardware Envelope - (00-off / 01-on) Must be enabled to hear the effects of the Envelope below
Software Envelope   - (00-off / 01-on) Must be enabled to hear the effects of the Envelope below

Attack Length (00-99) = adjusts how quickly a note sounds
Attack Amplitude (00-99) = adjusts the amplitude of attack
Decay Length (00-99) = adjusts a notes decay time
Decay Amplitude (00-99) = adjusts the amplitude of decay
Release Length (00-99) = adjusts a notes release time
Release Amplitude (00-99) = adjusts the amplitude of the release ]]>

I know, crazy, right?!

He's also the guy who does Video Games Live.  I met him after the show and he complimented me on my windwaker shirt, ha.  Cool guy.

Oh yes, and thanks for the ROM, it will be fun to play with
