This theory is CONFIRMED!  I just switched the TV my NES was connected to, and my Immortals worked perfectly.  This kicks ass!

what tv type did you switch from-to? Also are you using the RF Switch or the A/V Ports?

I have 8 nes systems and 3 Immortals and I am using the A/V Ports for all 8 and all 3 games are garbled on 7 of them, but all 3 work perfectly on number 8.  I thought it may be an interference issue between the game and the video card within the NES

The reason this is a problem because the resulting voltage level of signal is close to the level used for the sync signal. So some TV's are mistaking it as such. From what others have said, this seems to affect mainly newer TV types like LCD. I couldn't get a stable picture at all with my LCD, but then I hooked it up to a CRT and then it worked just fine. ]]>
