I'm just glad this season is finally over. My two teams Detroit and Nashville (born in Michigan, currently live in the Nashville area) got knocked out and I honestly did not like any team left. I've sat through some truly awful Stanley Cup finals (Anaheim vs New Jersey in 03 springs to mind, yeesh) but I just couldn't muster watching more than 2 games of this final. I don't know why really. I despise Pronger, that could be one reason. I'm just glad Hossa finally got that cup. And watching Roenick cry was embarrassing.

This was probably one of the most exciting finals of the last few decades, sorry you feel that way, I still would have watched no matter who was playing.

I saw the last game of the series and one other before that. They weren't boring, but I just couldn't muster any interest at all in them.

Wait, so Roenick works for NBC? I'm... so sorry.

Actually, I looked up a clip because I was interested in watching him break down on TV and you guys get Mike Milbury too? Jesus, no wonder nobody likes hockey there.

Do you guys have Perre McGuire too? One second of Pierre McGuire is too much Pierre McGuire. I'd watch every game riding the mute button. Listen to some radio commentary or something.

Yeah we have McGuire too. All of his yammering on about a player's hockey history down to the Pee Wee levels and his mancrushing for certain players and idiotic catch phrases are completely unbearable. I have no idea why we have him here in the states. Sorry but you guys can have him on TSN, we don't want him, haha. No wonder the sport isn't that popular here. If I wasn't a fan and had to listen to that crap I would immediately turn it off.

more exciting than last year??? yeah right. that was the best final in a long long time period. probably helps that i'm a pens fan, but game 7, 1 goal difference, and hitting the top post... i about died that day.

I never said it was more exciting last year, you can throw in last year as more exciting, but still one of the most exciting finals of the last few decades.  Especially game one with the most goals scored in a game for a long long time, and two games going into OT, and the odd game winner in game 6 to take the finals, will go down as one of the most awkward stanley cup moments.

Listening to Mike Emrick is classic though, I'll take the good with the bad, and I've heard get the puck to the net too many damn times.  That's like saying get the ball in the endzone in football.  Dumb and repetitive.
