First I'll start with the white "closet" shelves I used. I, like a lot of people, really love these shelves. they are mega easy to install, just make sure you screw into your wall studs when putting in the supports for extra strength. My wife and I found this out the hard way in out old house when our shelf collapsed. The house builders did not reinforce that shelf at all lol. Also the fact that they are see through is really great for me since I have limited space and a lot of system boxes. This way I can just still see what I have without shuffling stuff around. I used this style of shelf above my badass zenith tv also. This is the corner style and again it's really easy to install. The only downside may be that they are a little on the pricy side but I totally love the look.




Next I'll chat about my "Frankenstien" Blizzard shelf. I call this a Frankenstien shelf because I reused old material from another cabinet I had. I actually used one of the cabinet doors to make it. Again I made sure I reinforced it in every way and screw I to all the studs my old basement game room had a few Frankenstein shelves so I figured I'd make on for my current game room.





Here's another Frankenstein shelf I made for my consoles. Almost all my systems are on this shelf. Every system is connect to my tv there a selector switch system. Again I have limited space in this room so I had to get creative.





So I also have 4 bookshelves that have gone through a number of changes over the years. I originally had 5 but moved one to my big room of my basement once I got my glorious WoN display cabinet. So what I'd do us just buy book shelves that were on sale. I'd then just move/modify/add/paint shelves as needed.



One of them currently is double sided just to create more space.



This closet space I just recently started to utilize. This center shelf was already in the closet when I moved in and now it's home to almost 600 Xbox and ps2 games. You can also see the grey cabinet too. This was my parents Vinyl/8-track stereo stand from the 1970s. In the 90s my brother painted it and used it for his stereo at the time. Then I acquired it and for some reason could never get rid of it. Since I got it it's been my video game system shelf for years. It's great because it's on wheels and can be pulled out of the closet to access the stuff behind it.

Note - I love seeing empty shelf space





This is a rack I made inside the closet to hang my extra controllers on.



Here's another set of shelves I quickly put of with left over glass from my WoN display can. I wanted a specific spot for some of my video game related action figures.

I took a slightly simpler approach with mine. Bought a bunch of 1x6s and wall brackets and mounted them on my wall. There is still a little bit of tweaking that I need to do, but for the most part I'm happy with it. Once my collection is nearing completion, I plan on putting in smaller shelves (about 1.75") on the right wall, where Mario and Luigi are standing. I also need to install one more shelf, but I'm unsure at the moment if I'm going to do it at the bottom or top, so I'm leaving it off until I absolutely need it.

For someone with no handyman skills at all, I was extremely proud of the result.
