They said the program could be found within the webspace of a school in luxemburg, on the account of a certain student. Maybe he was the one who did the programming, but apparently the script was used by different people...
no wonder that this very account is removed by now...

All that info is second hand though, I have it all from this article , but oh well, its in German so probably of no use to any of you... dont know if it applies to american ebay. just stay wary ! ]]>

There was a TV show in Germany two days ago that reported about some program, that automatically identifies email adresses of bidders who didnt win, and will then autmatically send an second chance offer email. Wow, that's good information. I'd like to know what the program is called (not to use it of course) and who the hell programmed it.

Also, if eBay says they fixed it, then there's a 99% chance that they didn't. ]]>

I just want to know how you figured out that I bid on this item, and how you got my email address. I know it's a fake second chance offer, blah blah who cares. I get these all the time. How did you A) figure out my eBay ID (since eBay hides them now) and B) figure out my email address (since even if you know my eBay ID, eBay still will not give out my email address).

Answers to my questions would be appreciated. See ya.
