If you need 9v then you have to pull it directly from the power jack. Cause after that it goes to a regulator that takes it down to 5v.

Hey everyone,

I recently started a few nes mod projects, my latest creation has a window cut in the top of it and I need to light the inside with led's...the problem is that I cannot run them off of the pre-existing led (I changed to blue) b/c it shorts it out. Does anyone know where I can find a good 9v power supply elsewhere in the nintendo's guts for my internal led's???
