While I was reading the thread and making my first response I forgot to chime in my recommendation for the new place. But remembered randomly. So here it is.

What I would prefer to see is a separate subthread or little section relating to music creation using consoles (Gameboy, Nes, GBA, SNES, etc) . Right now this falls under the Brewery category since it is an aspect of development, which is great, music certainly is an important aspect of development for games. However, when making a game there are only a couple viable methods, that is assembly, and less efficiently, making NSFs with fami and mml. Many people make music for the sole purpose of recording the output and forming a track; Not all of these musicians use conventional tools like developers might use. So a section for musicians and modders that may use hardware solutions (midiNES, ArduinoBoy, etc) and/or pre-made trackers and softwares for creating original music. While I understand there are forums for this already, this is actually where I originate from, but I think it is a relevant aspect of the hobby that deserves a little corner somewhere.

I hope that what you (+ team?)are designing will be slick and modern, yet easy to navigate, even for people who don't care to leave or other people who aren't necessary computer-savvy. I know you want to start fresh and make something new and exciting, and you feel it's important to respect the history we've all built up together.

Anyway I'm very excited! Can't wait to see what you've got when the time comes! ]]>

Yes.

I am not against this, but you know when an @everyone is done in discord you can jump right to it using the "@" on the upper right corner? (presuming your on PC...think its the same on mobile too...)

Didn't know that. I will have to give it a try. ]]>
